How to Properly Submit a Ticket
Do not submit one-line tickets!
Make sure your ticket includes at least the following information:
- The specific device or program you are having an issue with. Lines like "My printer is not working" is not descriptive enough. Most employees have their own printer plus access to at least the three multi-function printers. IT needs to know which specific printer you are having a problem with.
- A description of the specific problem you are experiencing with the device or program.
- Any error messages (A screenshot is prefered).
- The last time it worked correctly.
- Any changes since the last time it worked correctly.
Including this information will greatly expedite resolving the issue. If you fail to include this information, your ticket may not be properly prioritized.
